Welcome to The Press Room Coffee & Books, a relaxed, rustic, warm café in a historic 1914 building at 1124 Washington Ave in old town La Grande. Superb coffee drinks, famous bagel sandwiches (including an amazingly delicious low-carb option), handmade all-butter shortbread cookies, pastries crafted by local bakers, Press Room’s own masala chai blend, iced refreshers and more.

Explore our tiny bookstore packed with books on local history, Oregon Trail history, and works by local authors. Discover the historic and current narratives that make the Eastern side of our state unique.

The comfortable light-filled back room has plenty of space for gathering and studying with our fast wi-fi. The elegant Grande Hall has comfortable couches and tables for relaxed gatherings. Blue Mountain trail through-hikers: enjoy free - a drink and a bagel sandwich -  when you sign our hiker’s logbook.
